Gold Elements Nail Care Set

If there’s anything I’m picky about, it’s my hand cream & nail care products. I take care of my nails. As ridiculous as it sounds, it’s something I can be proud of. I used to be that girl with the short stubby bitten off nails. Looking back, I realize it came from my hatred of uneven nails that snag on everything. I definitely didn’t know glass/crystal nail files existed so instead, I chewed on my nails and they looked hideous.

Fast forward 10ish years, I am the queen of nail care, my nails are strong, healthy and gorgeously long, perfect for painting, no artificial nails needed! I’ve come across hand creams I’ve hated and some that I really love. When Gold Elements sent me a nail care set, I was thrilled! The set itself retails for $50, which is a bit steep but for soft & strong hands & nails, I wouldn’t mind purchasing it maybe once a year.

The Gold Elements Nail Care Set comes with: a basic gritty cardboard nail file, 4 step buffing block, cuticle oil & hand cream. The cardboard file isn’t anything to get the kit for, it isn’t great but it’s not bad, it works. The buffing block is something I frequently purchase (or rather, get suckered in to buying) while I’m in line at Sephoras, I love them! The buffing block smooths nails out to an even shiny surface, making natural nails look even better and making it easier to apply & remove nail polish. The cuticle oil is nice, its a bit too liquidy for my taste but I like using it at night when my hands aren’t moving and rubbing oil on everything I touch. Now, THE HAND CREAM!!! The hand cream is my favorite part of the whole kit, the squeeze tube it’s in is very simple yet luxurious looking, when applying, the cream smooths skin and blends in like a dream. I hate thick creams that don’t absorb but luckily, that’s not the case with this! It smells of light floral potpourri yet a sophisticated version, I love it! It lasts the whole day, even through tons of hand washing, definitely keeps my hands & nails well moisturized which in turn keeps my nail polish from that awful cracked look.
